I picked up a new 60 gig HD from Fry's after work on Friday and was super excited to get it installed and to yank out the old stock 30 that came with it. After gutting my poor ollaptop to get to the well protected and hidden hard drive I reassembled it only to find that the backlight no longer ligths up. Searching the internet and visitng the apple addict forums section i found that there is the possibility of a loose cable located just above the optical drive. The thought of once again delving into the guts of my iBook does not exciteme but currently I haveto remain plugged into an external monitor to make use of the computer at all. Perhaps tomorrow i will bravely rip apart my little friend to try and restore her vision.
