How I almost got fired...... for a second time.....

FLICKR.....ahhh FLICKR..... Todays FLICKR was the bane of my existence. Around 10:30 this afternoon I was called across the street to the corporate head quarters to meet with Steve Soriano the VP of Robson. When I arrived at his office my Editor and Boss Linda was there talking with him. I sat down for what I assumed to be a coridal meeting regarding design for marketing or something along that lines. Within a few seconds I realized that i was nto there for a positive reason. It turns out that some of the work I had done for Robson and then proceeded to post to my online FLICKR photo account had somehow made their way into Steves hands. I was told that it was a direct violation of corporate policy to do what I had done. I was curious how my online images had been happened upon by the Vice President of my company, later on when I was talking with Linda in here office I found out that by simply putting the words (Robson Publishing) into my tags that my images had become the number 1 search result on Google. How scary is that?!? Because of somehting I innocently did on my own time at home months earlier I had put myself in the position of almost getting fired.
The interesting thing is that If I had simply put photos of myself or co-workers online with the same tags there would have been absolutely nothing "illegal" about them and the same thing would have happened with Googles search results. What does that say about FLICKR or Google? What would my company have done if I had simply included the words Robson Publishing in an image totally unrelated to anything I did at work? Interesting question ehh... Something I may plan to find out in the future with other websites. What if I put a photo of me drinking a Coke on flickr then said thats me drinking a Coca Cola? would that jepordize Coke.com's placement within Googles search results? legally could they make me remove the word "Coke" from my tags? mow far can you prosecute the usage of a word?
