Lissa Wales

My friend Erin Coscia who recently moved to San Fran just told me that our mutual friend Lissa passed away from a disease she contracted through a bone-marrow transplant, while combating her cancer. I feel bad for her family and also for the fact that I didn't maintain much of connection to her even though she lives half a mile away form me. Our paths used to cross more often when I worked for Tempe Camera, but since leaving there I have had only 3 or 4 conversations with her, one of which was after she was first diagnosed. It's a bit scary to be close to death in any respect and my feelings are a bit selfish for not knowing her better. I hope her family can learn to deal with her loss and I wish i could say that she's gone to a better place but I haven't any dea if a place like that even exists.
