Please for the love of Pete stop smashing the Bread as you cut it!

Save the Subway!

A few years ago Subway used to cut their sandwich bread in an eliptical shape making a fluffy receptical for all the delicious meats and vegetables to be to be cradled in. Within a short period of time all surrounding Subway sandwich shops began the "smash and slice" way of cutting the bread. I understand that perhaps not cutting in an eliptical manner would save time or possibly reduce the cost for the ingredients of the sandwich by preventing it from holding as much content. But there must be a way to slice a sandwich without turning the fluffy hoagie roll into a 3/4 inch tall mushy mess. I personally like subway more than Quiznos and believe that the meals Subway offers are way healthier than most of your competition but it used to be the photos of your meals looked very similar to the final product but they have now begun to go the way of McDonalds , Burger King and others in their disparity between presentation and final result. As unhealthy as Quiznos may be it cannot be argued that at least the commercials and print ads that show their sandwiches seem to more accurately represent their product than subways has as of late. Please do something to keep me from jumping ship to the competition forever.
