My friend Lissa

Today I got a birthday alert for a freind, the thing is though that she died 3 years ago. This morbid reminder shows up yearly and really reminds me of the importance of living for the moment. She had bone cancer and the last time I talked with her was probably 8 months before her death, she never mentioned that her illness was as serious as it turned out to be. We weren't the closest of friends but we did have interactions and went to a few design and software conferences together.
